The same goes for pregnant women, who also suffer from temporary hormone imbalances. But some people also suffer from a lifetime of hormonal imbalance, which forces them to deal with acne and other skin problems nearly all of their lives. In very rare cases, skin problems could get so severe that they seem to disfigure the face.

The acne problems of some people could get so intense that they need to go beyond medication and start going to measures as extreme as surgery. Thanks to modern technology, however, different methods of skin surgery are now being deemed safe for use in treatment of acne. Among them is laser treatment. Laser treatments are now used to treat mild to severe cases of acne, but are considered especially effective in cases where the skin problem only involves simple whiteheads and blackheads.

This is how laser treatments work: they warm up the skin so that the pores on the face open up, then the laser unplugs the follicles and shrinks the oil glands beneath the skin. These glands are responsible for the overproduction of the serum that creates skin disorders such as acne. Repeated laser treatments may be necessary for this technique to be most effective. But laser treatments are just among the best acne treatments out there; they are not assuredly the best method for you, or for anyone. It’s always best to see a doctor before trying any sort of anti-acne solution.

I have very little acne of my chest. I went to the dermotologist and he recomended an exfoliator and a cream which is titled differin which is .3% adapalene gel. So ive begun useing dove mositurizing exfoliation and this cream… and the acne got worse!!! are there any home remedies to make it go away besides toothpaste?? thanks!!

Just make a thick paste of water and oatmeal, applying the mixture to your face in the morning and at night. Allow the paste to stay on your for from 10 to 20 minutes, then wash it from your face with cold water.

Honey and Apple Masks

Another great homemade acne treatment is a honey and apple mask, again it is all natural, and it’s also great for people with oily skin. You will need to grate the apples into a fine pulp, then mix in four tablespoons of honey. Just apply to your face, leaving it on for ten minutes, rinse the mask off and you are done. Very inexpensive homemade acne treatment again.

Egg Whites, Witch Hazel and Lemon Juice

Of course you can’t forget this homemade acne remedy; you will have a mask of egg whites, witch hazel, and lemon juice. The making of the mask is easy, just beat an egg until it is stiff, then add a few drops of witch hazel, and also a few drops of lemon juice. When completely mixed up spread the mixture over your face keeping it in place for 15 minutes. When done rinse off with lukewarm water.

Tomatoes

One more homemade acne treatment out there is a tomatoes it will work wonders on your oily skin. You will have to mash up a ripe tomato, drain the juice onto paper towels. Next you will need to take the tomato pieces and pat your face with them as you are lying back. Next you should leave those pieces on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Do this once a day and it will have your skin looking great.
